System of composite materials diagnostics using low-speed shock method

The system is appeared to be a software- hardware complex. It allows carrying out the composite materials and plastics diagnostics using a low-speed shock method.

This method is based on the interconnection of low-energy shock impact parameters with mechanical characteristics of the diagnostics object.

The main advantages are as follows:

determination of local defects and zones with anomalous physical and mechanical characteristics;

high sensitivity and resolution (minimal diameter of the defect zone is 2 mm);

analysis of time-response and spectral characteristics  of the shock interaction impulses;

results processing and decision making concerning the defect occurrence in real time;

the data accumulation and statistical processing.

The operation mode:

multifunctional diagnostics in the presence of an operator;

autonomous diagnostics after the system pre-training.

The system set:

personal computer of I¬M PC type;

software - responsible for obtained data accumulation, analysis and visualization;

input-output analog-digital ET1250 block  - responsible for sensor signals accumulation and initial processing;

decoder;

electronic unit.

The system is designed for the diagnostic methods development as well as for products diagnostics in the laboratory and at the place of production.

The software is appeared to be an interface which is responsible for the process control about the diagnostic object information acquisition, processing, storage and interpretation as well as for the training and decision making about the defect availability.

Software and hardware are compatible with stationary, industrial and mobile computers.
