The design conception is based on the task of the improvement of operation conditions for the airborne surveillance equipment of the two-engine unpiloted aircraft by means of its lay-out configuration perfection. This configuration will allow increasing visibility of the forward hemisphere, decreasing the vibration load on the onboard equipment, and raising the surveillance effectiveness of the UAV usage.

UAV “Sky patrol M-7” is appeared to be a normal design twin-engine high-wing monoplane. The technology of composite materials is considered to be a paramount production technology. It provides the ease of the production models fabrication, independence from aluminum alloys producers, and required characteristics of durability, reliability, and weight. The wings are raised over a nacelle on two pylons: it is a peculiar aerodynamic design feature. The front upper part of the nacelle is designed in the form of removable aerodynamic shroud for the purpose of access to a payload section. The hole is made directly in the front part of the nacelle for the installation of the forward surveillance camera.
