Computer-aided reliability monitoring system of the Ukrainian fleet

 

The system is designed for the data collection and processing concerning AE fleet reliability in Ukraine based on the plan target of the State Aviation Administration and in accordance with the Joint Aviation Regulations (JAR) concerning the aviation equipment (AE) reliability level assurance and improvement of report documentation presentation on discovered defects and malfunctions.

The system is aimed for the following:

· The AE airworthiness and flight safety support based on analysis and generalization of different aircrafts operation experience;

·  Preparation of documents in support on the AE certification;

· Accounting and analysis of the information about failures, the AE operating time and life-time conditions;

· Determination and analysis of time history for flight reliability and safety characteristics in the process of the AE operating;

· Comparative and prognostic analysis of aircrafts and engine conditions and problems solving arisen in case of their operation;

· Preparation of documents in support about the AE current conditions.

 

The main system regimes are as follows:

· Input and support of the databank about the airlines fleet failures and operating time for the AE control and reliability analysis;

· Input and support of the system for information classification about the AE failures based on the address codifier, the aircraft systems/subsystems, the aircrafts location zone, the maintenance form, detection phase, consequences, etc. in accordance with the International Standards and the State Aviation Administration Requirements;

· Reliability index calculation (K1000, mean-time-between-failures, probability of failures, in hours and landings/cycles, in-flight, and in operating) according to aircrafts types, mainstay components (airframe, engines, APU), equipment types, functional systems and units;

· Comparative analysis of operators aircraft reliability status;

· Comparative analysis of aircrafts reliability on scheduled operating;

· Monitoring of aircrafts reliability status;

· Quarterly and annual reliability level control of aircrafts, their main components, equipment, and functional systems. Formation of control reliability levels;

· Reliability index control of aircrafts components in special operating cases (failures because of constructional, manufacturing, and operating reasons that led to a flight delay or cancellation, different incidents, etc.);

· Control and monitoring of general indexes of aircrafts reliability and operating effectiveness;

· Calculation and analysis of aircrafts components reliability indexes;

· Forecasting of the components failures based on probabilistic and extrapolation methods;

· Finding graphs and diagrams construction and their export into EXCEL and WORD;

· Formation of quarterly, semiannual, and annual reports on analysis of the Ukrainian fleet reliability.

The maintenance quality management has to be based on reliability analysis results relying on the system Aircrafts Reliability on basis of comparative and generalized reliability analyses of each operator.

The system can be introduced in big Airlines, for the AE Designers and Manufacturers, and also in Military Aviation.
