Composition of scientific council:
To composition enter: a rector, pro-rectors, directors of institutes and colleges, chairmen of professional committees, representatives of organs of student self-government, scientific secretary, deans of faculties, managers of departments, leading professors and researches workers, known scientists, students. Composition of scientific advice renews up annually.
Scientific Council of the University:
- sets up committee on development of Regulation of university and making to it amendments and supplements;
- examines the question of organization and improvement of scientific, educating, production and commercial activity, and rational use of earth, financial and financial resources labors, and development of international connections;
- examines the question of creation (reorganizations, liquidations) of structural subdivisions;
- awards scientific and honored ranks;
- recommends materials to the press and participation in competitions;
- examines basic directions of development of university, tutorials, results of admission to the university, reports, positions and documents similar to them;
- approves the themes of candidate's and doctoral dissertations; appoints the personal grants of university;
- pulls out candidatures for electing in the complement of academies, to participate in competitions, appropriation of the honored ranks, giving personal rewards, setting nominal grants;
- examines symbols of university and other questions of vital functions of university.
