The Institute was founded in 1965 to satisfy the requirements of the aviation field of the nation in the specialists with higher education for the work in the information-computer engineering centers of aviation enterprises. The Institute provides training of specialists of all levels in the sphere of design, development and operation of the computer and computerized information control systems and technologies, automated design systems, system programming, software and design control. The educational process is carried out by the highly skilled teachers, famous scientists and specialists, among them there are 25 Doctors of Sciences, professors, more than 100 Candidates of Sciences, senior lecturers.
The Institute has a modern material base for both theoretical and practical specialists training, 6 computer classes connected to the Internet, local computer networks, necessary software, computer aided systems of the flight information processing and air traffic control, on-board computing systems, complex air and space training equipment. During the training course students get acquainted with operational systems (MS DOS, Windows, OS/2, Unix, Linux), computer languages (Assembler, Pascal, C++, Modula-2, 3, Ada, Java), environment of software development (Delphi, Visual C ++, CASE), means of design automation (MatLab, MathCAD, AutoCAD, Unigraphics Solutions), database control systems (FoxPro, Informix, Oracle). There is a student scientific and technical society, scientific seminars being regularly held at the Institute. The Institute graduates work successfully at various enterprises and establishments in different sectors of the economy of Ukraine and those of more than 50 countries of the world.
