Training of scientific and pedagogical and scientific staffs of top skills: the candidates and doctors of sciences through a preparation for doctor's degree and postgraduate course is highest priority of our university, to this process the serious attention is given. A postgraduate course at National aviation university (till October, 2000 it was called the Kiev international university of a civil aviation, and earlier it had some more other titles) is open in 1954 and for this term is prepared 1460 postgraduate students, more than on 43 scientific specialities. Including - 165 postgraduate students for foreign states, which the university began to prepare since 1968.

From the above-mentioned quantity of a postgraduate course graduates by the beginning of 2005 already successfully have defended the candidate thesisТs 1110 persons. Besides also have defended candidate thesisТs 230 competitors of a scientific degree of the candidate of sciences.

The preparation for doctor's degree has opened at the university in 1965. From that time 145 doctoral thesesТ by the employees and graduates of a preparation for doctor's degree are protected, from them 110 doctoral thesisТs are protected by the graduates of a preparation for doctor's degree.
